Sciatica Treatment
Sciatica and generalised leg pain can have different causes. Our approach begins with a detailed assessment to understand your symptoms and identify factors that may be contributing.
- Careful assessment of symptoms associated with sciatica and other causes of leg pain
- Provides an alternative approach for people who are looking for care beyond exercise-based rehabilitation alone
- Support for people seeking an alternative to symptom management alone

We understand what you're dealing with
These are some of the concerns we often hear from people before they come to Frameworks — and how we approach them.
Exercises are making it worse
Some people find that certain movements or exercises increase their symptoms, particularly during more sensitive stages of a problem. We assess your presentation carefully and tailor treatment to what is appropriate for you.
You're not sure it's even sciatica
Not all leg pain is caused by sciatica. We assess your symptoms to help understand what may be contributing and whether our approach is suitable.
You've been told to wait it out
Recovery from nerve-related symptoms varies between individuals. A detailed assessment can help you understand your options and choose an appropriate approach.
How we approach sciatica
Sciatica is a specific type of nerve-related pain, not all leg pain has the same cause. Our first step is a detailed assessment to understand your symptoms and whether they are consistent with sciatica or another underlying issue. Where our approach is appropriate, we use our Core Integrity Protocols to assess and address factors related to movement, stability and function.
Many people come to us after trying different approaches and are looking for a more focused assessment of what may be contributing to their symptoms. Our Core Integrity Protocols provide a structured approach to care. Our aim is to support improvement while helping patients understand their condition and treatment options.

How It Works
Free 15-minute assessment
We check whether our approach is right for your case. No obligation, no cost. If it isn't, we'll tell you honestly and point you elsewhere.
Foundation Phase – Examination & first treatment
A thorough assessment, followed by the first precise, low-impact treatment.
Foundation Phase (further 3 sessions)*
Precise micro-adjustments that are designed to address identified structural and movement related factors. We call this our Core Integrity Protocols. The aim is to support longer term pain relief and stability.
* Sometimes further treatments are required but this will be discussed on an individual basis.
Frequently Asked Questions
Movement matters, and the current guidance (NICE) is to stay as active as you reasonably can. In the more sensitive early stages, some specific exercises can aggravate symptoms, so we'll tell you which movements suit your stage and which to ease off for now. As things settle, the right movement helps, and we'll guide you back to it.
Most sciatica improves without surgery, and UK guidelines recommend trying non-surgical care first. Even many disc-related cases settle over time. It's worth a free assessment to understand your options before committing to anything irreversible.
Some milder cases do settle on their own. Others are slower to improve. A free assessment can help you understand which is more likely in your case, so you can make an informed choice about whether to wait or to start treatment.
Often it's because the structure underneath wasn't stable enough for that work to take hold. Exercises, stretching and rehab all assume a stable base to work from. Our approach is based on a simple principle: stabilise the structure first, then build strength and movement on top of it. For many patients, exercise and rehab become more productive once that groundwork is in place.
