Fordingbridge is about seven miles from our chiropractic clinic in Verwood, roughly ten minutes by road. The clinic is in Verwood rather than Fordingbridge, and we would rather be plain about that.
Fordingbridge sits on the Avon at the western edge of the New Forest, a town of around 6,000 people. It is in Hampshire but closer to Verwood than to most of its own county's larger towns, which is why it falls naturally inside our catchment.

We treat back pain, sciatica, neck and shoulder problems, hip and knee pain and minor sports injuries. Everything found at your examination is measured and written down, so the next appointment starts from that record rather than from what anyone remembers.
Treatment is a defined Foundation Phase: four appointments over two to four weeks, including a compulsory review at the fourth, after which most patients are seen only occasionally.
The free 15-minute assessment is the way in. Nobody is asked to commit to a course before we have given them an honest view of whether it will help.

Getting here
About 10 minutes from Fordingbridge
Where we are
Bank Court, 12 Manor Road, Verwood, BH31 6DY. Roughly 7 miles from Fordingbridge, south-west across the county border.
Parking
There is parking at the clinic at Bank Court, so you are not looking for a space before an appointment.
Getting seen
No referral and no waiting list. Appointments are usually available the same week.
What makes this easier/comfortable from what you have tried before
Not because the profession is different, but because of how this clinic works: findings measured and recorded, and a course that has an end.
No exercise programme to take home
You will not leave with a sheet of exercises to get through. That is deliberate. We steady the joint first.
Precise, instrument-assisted adjustments
Adjustments are made with instruments rather than purely by hand to make it more comfortable and easy for you. Very small, measured movements to one specific joint, and nothing else which makes rapid response more likely in our experience. The attention to detail is the point.
The same protocols, whoever you see
Every practitioner at the clinic follows the same documented protocols. What you get does not depend on which clinician you happen to be booked with.
Short appointments, and few of them
Treatments are 15 minutes. Most people are managed with occasional appointments once the initial course is done, rather than an open-ended weekly commitment.
Our mandatory review
Every course has a compulsory review at the fourth appointment
We have always done this. At your fourth appointment we look at whether your pain has eased, whether you can do more, or both.
If nothing has changed, we refer you for further clinical investigation rather than carry on treating.
85%

treatments in the Foundation Phase, including the review. A defined course, not an open-ended plan.
64%
had already tried other therapies before they came to us
Almost70%
came to us with back pain. It is what we deal with day in, day out.

The adjustment
Gentle, considered care
Every adjustment is made with instruments, which lets us put a small, controlled amount of movement into one specific joint therefore being very precise and repeatable. That precision is the point: and attention to details gives the best result in our experience. We have found this delivers the most comfortable, considered, easy and rapid response. When you are treated, you either lay flat face down or stay sitting upright, fully clothed, and each step is explained before it happens.
Why Frameworks
A unified technique developed over 32 years
The method the clinic runs on was developed by Dr David Eldridge over 32 years in practice, and it is written down rather than passed on informally. Every clinician follows the same protocols, so the standard of care does not vary between appointments.

David trained as a physiotherapist before he qualified as a chiropractor. He built the method the clinic runs on, and spent years working in elite sport. He still treats patients in his consultancy clinics and chairs the advisory Board. BSc Chiropractic, Doctor of Chiropractic, GCC registered (No. 00206). Member of the Royal College of Chiropractors and the British Chiropractic Association.

Dr Joe Sanyal

Joe runs the day-to-day clinical work and is who you are most likely to be booked in with. He was treated by David as a teenager, which is what inspired him into chiropractic. Before seeing patients independently, he benefited from the rare opportunity to observe hundreds of cases alongside David. While most practitioners gain experience primarily through treating their own patients, this extensive period of observation allowed him to develop a remarkably detailed understanding of the Frameworks approach and its practical application. Fordingbridge: common questions
Yes — about seven miles and roughly ten minutes by road, south-west into Verwood. There is parking at the clinic and no referral is needed.
Regularly. Fordingbridge, Ringwood and the villages between them are all inside the catchment, and being in a different county changes nothing about booking or treatment.
No. Adjustments are made using instruments that allow us to create very small, precise movements. This emphasises what we believe is the need for gentle, easy and considered care.
There is no cracking, forceful thrust or sudden manipulation. When you are treated, you either lie flat on your front or remain seated upright, fully clothed.
The Foundation Phase is four treatments over two to four weeks, £228 for the course. The fourth treatment includes a mandatory review after which many patients are seen occasionally rather than on an ongoing plan, and how often is discussed individually.
